Fingers Crossed, Everyone!

I took my transcription exam this morning. Me, a piano, a few pieces of staff paper, a CD player, and two minutes and forty-nine seconds of a man playing the Ahavo Rabbo mode on the violin. Since this was a written practicum, it has to be graded, so I don't know the results yet. If I pass it, then that's all my practica done, and only the Special Fields exam and the dissertation proposal needed to advance to candidacy.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks! I'm not sure when it will be graded, because I don't know who'll be doing the grading. But it might be a while.

It's hard to believe you did anything less than well. Still, it never hurts to wish some luck as well. Hope you're not too nervous waiting for the results.

I'm not all that nervous. It's summer, and grid willing, it'll be lovely out soon, and I'll be around in the fall to retake the exam if I need to. I just really want to pass it and get all my plot coupons NAOW!

I'm sure you did really well. I bet you will be sooo glad to be done with those hoops. Each hoop down feels so good.

I'm pretty sure I got the transcription itself accurately enough. I hope the essay that went with it answered the somewhat vague question they asked. ("How does this selection use mode to be both a theme and variations and an ABA form at the same time?")
