Only briefly. On Tuesday, I have Window Guys coming. On the one hand, I'm very excited about this; the university has been trying to replace the ancient, broken-down windows in my building for three years, and has just now gotten all the permits in order. So, lovely new windows. On the other hand, furniture and other things all have to be moved roughly six feet away from all the windows, which those of you who have been in my apartment know ranges from pain-in-the-ass-but-doable (kitchen) through difficult-and-will-need-fudging (living room) to outright-impossible-because-the-room-isn't-t
I've gotten the bulk moving done, so there's a big ol' wad of furniture piled up in the living room. The curtains are down and washed and won't go up until Wednesday, and my blanket is at the dry cleaner's where it will live also until Wednesday. The plants and the crap in the bathroom window can be moved Monday evening, and the bed can be stripped and the nightstand moved early Tuesday morning before the Window Guys get here. The desk with iGor and the printer will just have to be covered with a sheet, because there is no place for it to move.
I like the idea of new windows, but I am definitely less than thrilled about having to take my house apart and then put it back together again.
