I've been running through a list of all the people I know in London or the immediate suburbs. Simon, Belinda, Tim, Annabel, Dean (a different Dean), Maria, Alex, Lula. . . and I wonder if any of them were taking public transportation during rush hour today. Probably at least some of them were. And probably they weren't hurt. Out of all the people in London, and all the places to be at the time, the odds are pretty good that they weren't killed. But still. Statistics can only do so much. I think I'll call my parents this afternoon and see if they've heard anything. Remembering 9/11, I don't think the emergency people will have gotten things that sorted out by now, so I'll just have to wait.
