The 24-Hour Meme

Courtesy of satismagic:

If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you have me do?

First of all, we wouldn't stay locked up in the house. We'd compile a list of stuff around here you're interested in seeing and then we'd pick one or two things and go do there, see stuff. I think I'd definitely show you my museum. And we might go look at the Roman treasure in the museum next town. Or take a lovely walk at our tiny lake or maybe along the Limes and look at the foundations of an old Limes tower.

Then of course there'd have to be some cooking and a nice dinner, and of course you are very right how there absolutely needs to be a movie night, too. Princess Bride, perhaps? Something fun and comfy.

That sounds like a perfect day. Seeing stuff with people is always better than seeing it alone or with a guidebook, and I could have the VIP tour of the museum, like when Dot gave me the VIP tour of her library.

I would love to see Princess Bride dubbed in German. German voice actors always sound like they're having the time of their lives doing whatever it is they happen to be doing.

ask you to cook something yummy and then eat it with you, i should imagine.

I could definitely go for that. And with 24 hours, it could be something fun and complicated as well as yummy.

Gosh, I'd just want to hear you tell stories. You have tons of them and you always, without fail, crack me up when you tell them. You're a sure fire cure for the blues. (I'm so much more selfish than Juno--just totally using you). ;-)

Hey, with an audience like you, I probably could tell stories all day!

You would so be teaching me to bake those fun dishes you're always experimenting with. Not because I couldn't work them out myself from a recipe, I'm sure, but just because I have a hard time imaginging a more fun time than goofing off in my pitiful excuse for a kitchen with you.

Pitiful excuses for kitchens are my specialty! My very first kitchen of my own had precisely zero counter space. I had to make a counter by flipping a tray or a cutting board over the sink, or by using the table. And yet, I became a decent cook in that kitchen. Yours? So not a problem.

And you've reminded me, I need to bake again either tonight or tomorrow morning. Singing is at my place tomorrow night.
