Things have stabilized a little, and I'm glad of that. I finally located the only Reform synagogue in Grad School Town. Fortunately, it's on a bus line, so I was able to go to services tonight. That had a wonderful effect on my mood -- I hadn't realized how much I missed regular Friday night services at a real community shul. Hillel is more convenient, and they feed you dinner, but I just couldn't do it. Hillel is just too undergraduate-oriented. I loved Hillel in college, but after five years at a local shul, I've outgrown Hillel. Grad School Town Shul seems like a nice, friendly sort of place. I'll definitely go back next week.
