What I Do For Le Thesis

I'm treading the dark path of grad school that involves slowly stripping away all of one's dignity. Tonight, Hillel sponsored a concert that had some remarkable relevance to Le Thesis, so I went. And I ended up being the dork standing around furiously taking notes at a hip-hop concert. Sigh. What I do for Le Thesis.

It could be worse, though. I was hanging out today having a casual conversation with a friend (a music education grad student), and the words "dominant discourse" just slipped out of his mouth in the middle of a casual, friendly conversation. Academia really does rot the brain.
