Pfft... I always knew chocolate was good for me. I'm glad, though, that someone has finally realised that milk chocolate is good and not just rotten dark stuff with too much cocoa in it ;-) Mmmm... hungry now...

This will make an old man very happy.

(He would insist, if he knew that I had said that, that he was a young man in a body that was refusing to co-operate by remaining the same age. But it's much more amusing to tell him he is getting old.)

When Little Sister Pony tries to make me feel old ("Gee, Pony, you're almost thirty. . . how does that feel?") I just tell her that the number of birthdays doesn't matter. What's important is that I act immature.

I've been self medicating with chocolate for years. But now I know it's dark chocolate (some of us really like it, dot) for body health and milk chocoate for brain power. Yeah!

Must have a balanced diet, after all. . . both dark and milk chocolate.

I need them now to make chocolate a weight loss product.. the more you eat, the closer to your ideal weight you get. Now THAT would be great news.

Ah. You want the world of Sleeper, then:

Dr. Melik: [puzzling over list of items sold at Miles' old health-food store] ... wheat germ, organic honey and... tiger's milk.
Dr. Aragon: Oh, yes. Those are the charmed substances that some years ago were thought to contain life-preserving properties.
Dr. Melik: You mean there was no deep fat? No steak or cream pies or... hot fudge?
Dr. Aragon: [chuckling] Those were thought to be unhealthy... precisely the opposite of what we now know to be true.
Dr. Melik: Incredible!

Ah, but even better news - chocolate is good not just for your brain, but your entire body:

Schweeeet. And it has a recipe, too, one that I simply must try (without the raspberry sauce).

All this research about how chocolate is good for your heart leads me to one conclusion: I must reach for a chocolate bar and a big glass of red wine when I read news reports like this one:
