I voted today!

I didn't see Obama there, which was probably a good thing. It meant that the polling place wasn't clogged up, and my friend and I could get in and not have too long of a wait for a booth. Seems that Illinois offers both pen-and-paper ballots and touchscreen ballots. I got the regular pen-and-paper one, but I heard an election worker giving one lady instructions on how to use the touchscreen.

We didn't get stickers, but we got warm fuzzy feelings anyway.

I see on the news that Obama voted really early and then went to Indiana to campaign some more. Then I saw film of him coming home with plans to play basketball this afternoon. (Can you tell I'm watching MSNBC obsessively?)

I waited until mid-morning because I was going with a friend, and she's not the "vote at the buttcrack of dawn" sort (especially because she was up till the wee hours working on a conference paper).

Our jazz class was canceled today because the professor was also going to Indiana to campaign.
